Run To Win Outreach exists to create a safe, uplifting community where youth experience the love and hope of Jesus through sports.
What began as one summer camp at King’s High School has grown into a year-round ministry serving thousands of young athletes, families, coaches, and communities throughout the Puget Sound region. Through sports, mentorship, and authentic relationships, we strive to help every child discover their potential not only as an athlete but as a person created with purpose.
For more than 35 years, God has faithfully used Run To Win to change lives, build character, and point young people toward Christ. And we’re just getting started.
Our Story
Age 17 - A Life Changed
The story of Run To Win began long before the first camp.
At just 17 years old, founder Mike Rohrbach attended a Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) camp where he gave his life to Jesus Christ. That life-changing experience planted a passion for sharing the Gospel through sports, a passion that would eventually become Run To Win Outreach.
University of Washington - Leadership on the Field
Mike went on to play linebacker for the University of Washington Huskies and served as team captain of the 1978 Rose Bowl Championship team.
As a student-athlete, he experienced firsthand the influence coaches and teammates can have on a young person’s life. Those lessons in leadership, teamwork, and perseverance would become foundational to the ministry’s future.
FCA - Investing in Athletes
Following college, Mike served for 14 years as the Washington State Director of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
He traveled throughout the Greater Seattle area encouraging coaches, mentoring athletes, speaking at schools and churches, and helping others grow in their faith through sports.
